Privacy Policy

This is from the WordPress Privacy Policy template, but I’m going to edit most of this and make it simple. So that it’s not a fucking drag to read.

Who I am

I’m Red Prez and I operate the website https://RedBird16.com

What data collect and why I collect that shit.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

When you post a comment or some shit like that, you IP Address gets logged. Also, I collect the data show in the comments form, and your browser user agent thing to help against spam. A hash may be made out of your e-mail address and sent to the Gravatar service just to see if you’re using it. You can read their shit here. Also, if you post a comment or some shit like that, you’re profile photograph is visible next to your comment, but I have to approve it first.

Contact forms

This one should be pretty fucking simple. Let’s be real here. If you contact me or some shit by my contact form, I’m obviously collecting data from you. Just keep in mind that you willingly gave that shit to me. So that’s on you not me.

Cookies

They’re cookies. You know, like the ones you eat. I like Oreos or the Keebler Soft Batch cookies. Those are the one I want to collect the most. Anyways, since this is a website, I’m collecting your cookies for some reason. Why? Don’t know. Good question. I’m just going to simply say what the WordPress template says. If you make a comment, you may agree to me saving your name, e-mail address, and website in a cookie. I guess WordPress does that so you “don’t have to fill that information in every time.” If you visit my login page, WordPress is going to set a temporary cookie to see if your browser accepts cookies or not. Let’s be real here, it most likely does. Unless you’re some crazy physcopath that has his Firefox settings set to the maximum they can go, your browser accepts cookies. Anyways, that cookie is discarded when you close your website browser.

Embedded content from other websites

If I embed something, weather that’s videos, images, an article, or something else, that embedded content acts the exact same. As always, that website might collect cookies, collect data about you, embed tracking from third-parties, and monitor your interaction with the content I embedded if and only if you have an account and are logged into that website. Let’s be real here, it most likely does that even when you’re not logged into the website.

Analytics

Who we share your data with

If I do ever allow other people to make an account on this website and you forget your password, your IP Address will be included in that password reset e-mail.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you leave a comment, that metadata is retained forever. This is so that I don’t have to sit there and approve every comment manually. After I approve you once, you’re fine. Quote from the WordPress template “This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.” Lets say that I do allow other users to create accounts on this website, WordPress stores the personal information you put in your profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information. Keep in mind, that Administrators can also see and edit that information. The only thing you cannot change is your username. That’s a WordPress thing. I didn’t do that. If anything, I downloaded a WordPress plugin that allows me or anyone else to change their username.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
